THE BACK OF YOUR TICKET
To Plead Not Guilty:
Read Part "B" in its entirety. If you are not in agreement with the reason you were
issued the ticket and wish to contest the summons, this is the selection for you. Check the "Yes or No" box Under the
Supporting Deposition Request. A Supporting Deposition is a form completed by the Officer who issued you the ticket.
Its re-iterates the circumstances you were issued the ticket for, and the Officer's observations at the time of the violation.
If you check "Yes" the Supporting Deposition will be mailed to you by the Officer, before your court date. If you check
"No" no action will be taken. Complete the remainder of Part "B" entering your mailing address and signature.
When Part "B" is complete, cross out Part "A" (As shown in the Diagram) and send the completed Ticket to the Court listed
on the front. It is suggested you mail it to the court Registered or Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested, or by
First Class Mail. After you submit your not guilty plea to the Court, you will receive a notice in return from
the court listing your Trial Date and Time.
To Plead Guilty:
Read Part "A" in its entirety. If you are in agreement with the reason you were
issued the ticket, this is the selection for you. Complete Part "A" Entering The Location information and
Court of Jurisdiction (Village of Whitehall, Village Court), Your Full Name, and address. Enter a short explanation,
if you wish. Be sure to Sign and Date the bottom section of Part "A". Subjects under 18 Years of Age that
were issued a Ticket Must submit the Name and Address of your Parent/Guardian on the bottom of the Ticket. Cross
out Part "B" as shown in the diagram to the right. Send the completed Ticket to the Court listed on the front.
It is suggested you mail it to the court Registered or Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested, or by First Class Mail.
After you submit your guilty plea to the Court, you will receive a notice in return from the court listing your fine. Should
your plea have been denied for some reason you will receive a notice to appear in court.

listed below. Village Court is held on Wednesday's at 9:00am. The Judges are are in chambers most Tuesday's and
Wednesday's from 9:00am to 12:00pm - You may stop in or call the court on those day's and times to submit your ticket(s) or
pay a fine.
